My 'to watch' list for 2018

I made a promise to myself (and wrote down in my 2018 Goals post) that in 2018 I would watch more films and TV shows. Due to this goal, I've been checking out Panasonic Oled Televisions, which would make achieving it so much better, with their incredible Ultra HD 4K picture and their bright, colourful displays. I've got off to a good start this year with this goal and wanted to share my 'to watch' list for 2018.

The first show on my list to watch in 2018 is Suits. I started watching Suits last year, but I've really gotten into it since the year started. I watch it every morning before work and every night before bed, I am obsessed and can't believe I didn't start watching it sooner. I'm now on Season 4, so I can't wait to get up to date this year ready for the new series, whenever that comes out!
Another show on my list to watch in 2018 is Black Mirror. So many people have recommended this to me, and I also remember last year Giovanna Fletcher saying that she was watching it, that's when I first thought to myself 'Yes, I need to watch this'. Some of the episodes do sound pretty terrifying from what I've heard from the girls at work on their breaks, so I might have to rope someone into watching it with me.

Believe it or not, I've never seen The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air all the way through, back-to-back. I do love this show and I've watched so many episodes throughout my lifetime, and now I think I finally need to watch this all the way through in 2018. Will Smith is such a brilliant actor and he is also hilarious, so I'll probably get through the series pretty quickly.
I watched a couple of episodes of The Flash last year with my boyfriend and loved it. I'm a sucker for superhero TV shows and films, especially any from the DC Universe. I think I'll be dedicating my time to this series after I've finished Suits.

Two new seasons of shows I watch are on my to watch list for 2018. The first is Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why. I watched the first season in about two days and thought it carried such an important message, which was portrayed very well, so I can't wait to see what the second season brings. The other is the last ever season of New Girl. I am so sad that New Girl is coming to an end, I've been watching it since the first ever episode aired. I'm not going to give it away because I don't want to spoil anything, but I can't wait to see what this last season is all about after the Season 6 finale!

What's on your 'to watch' list for 2018?

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

It's no secret that I'm a hopeless romantic (or maybe it is) and that even though Valentine's Day is just a consumerist holiday, I do secretly love it and seeing all the soppy posts that come with it. I also think it's a nice excuse to buy your significant other or yourself a gift if that's how you celebrate Valentine's Day. I've found/received a few lovely gifts that I wanted to include in a gift guide for her.
The first gift is this gorgeous satin slip dress from the Private Collection at Hunkemöller. It's the perfect Valentine's Day piece of nightwear, anything in satin or red just instantly says Valentine's Day. The detail on it is absolutely beautiful, with lace down the sides and around the v-neck and also the strappy racerback. It's also available in black, which looks amazing too if you don't love red like I do. They also have some other gorgeous pieces in their Valentine's collection, if you're looking for the perfect Valentine's Day lingerie or nightwear.
The second gift is perfume, I have a few favourite perfumes that I'd recommend buying as a gift. The first is Paco Rabanne Olympea, which is the most incredible perfume I've ever smelt, and I'd definitely recommend having a smell of it when you're next out shopping. I love wearing this perfume when I go out, it reminds me of such happy times! The second is Giorgio Armani Si, which is perfect as an everyday perfume. Both have floral and vanilla notes, so that would explain why they smell so good.

The third gift is make up. I definitely recommend getting Charlotte Tilbury make up as a gift, as the packaging is so luxurious and the quality of the products is extraordinary. My favourite products from Charlotte Tilbury that I'd recommend buying as a gift are the Matte Revolution lipsticks (which are creamy and not drying), the Airbrush Flawless Finish powder (the best powder I've ever used) and the Legendary Lashes mascara.
The final gift is this gorgeous Olivia Burton butterfly wing necklace in Rose Gold. This is actually a gift from my boyfriend, it's just so pretty that I had to include it in my Valentine's Day gift guide. It's the perfect gift if you're literally looking for a 'pretty necklace' to buy for yourself or someone else.

2018 Goals

2017 has genuinely been the best year of my life so far. I've spent time with the most amazing people, and smiled/laughed until my jaw aches too many times to count. I turned 21, figured out I look like PS1 Ron Weasley (seriously I have the photos to prove it), I've seen my favourite bands, I've been to Disneyland Paris and Cape Verde. I also passed my driving test, started an access course and got offers for university. I can't believe so much has happened this year! I am very excited for 2018.

Improve my photography and video skills
If you read my what I got for Christmas post, Rhys very kindly bought me a GoPro, which I am so excited to use. I definitely want to get to know the settings so I can use it to the best of it's ability, and so I'm ready to make a great video montage of our holiday in June. I also want to learn how to use my Canon 600D properly (yes I've had it for years) - so I can improve my blog photography and general photography.

Get Fit
I know this is such a generic new year goal and I've put it before, but this time I actually do mean to get fit. I joined the gym in 2017 and was getting really good with going, but I ended up being ill for the majority of the year so couldn't go a lot of the time. This year I'm hoping that I'm ill a lot less and can go to the gym at least three times a week.

Watch more films and TV series!
I'm so bad at winding down and relaxing, I need to get better at this and this means some binging on TV series and watching films I've never seen. I have a huge list of recommendations from people in my life, so I'll be working my way through that list in 2018 as well as adding new films to the list that are coming out in the future.

Become a student midwife
After years of wanting to go to university to study Midwifery, I finally began my access course in April 2017 and have been offered places from universities to start in September 2018, on the condition that I achieve all merits and distinctions in my assignments. I am unbelievably excited for this time in my life and I can't wait to start getting prepared throughout this year.

Be Happy
I'm not even over exaggerating when I say that 2017 was the best and happiest year of my life. I think being happy is such a simple goal to some, but until late 2016 I couldn't remember the last time I was truly happy. I am aiming to carry on being happy throughout 2018!
