Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

I was completely over the moon when I got an email from Debenhams Beauty telling me I had been picked as one of their VIP Panellists for the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette*. I've had this palette since the 7th July, so I've been giving it a really good testing out and I've even got my new everyday eye make-up look down. The packaging of this palette has impressed me greatly. The floating smoky effect is absolutely stunning and I love the colour of it! I also like how the packaging is plastic but unlike the sometimes tough to open Naked 3, it is magnetic which means I'm not panicking about the brush flying out and whether it is going to break.
Like the Naked 1, 2 and 3 palettes the Smoky palette has 12 shades. There's High, Dirtysweet, Radar, Armor, Slanted, Dagger, Black Market, Smolder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen. High is described as 'champagne shimmer micro-glitter', it's one of my favourite shades for the inner corners and middle lid as it is super brightening and pigmented. Dirtysweet is described as 'medium bronze' and I would say it is exactly that. I've been loving putting this shade in the middle of my lid to brighten and bronze it up to create an everyday smoky eye. Radar is described as 'metallic taupe iridescent micro-glitter', this is one of my favourite colours and I love popping it all over my lid. Armor is described as 'metallic silver-taupe tonal sparkle', I haven't used this as an all over lid shade yet but I think it would look amazing like that. Slanted is described as 'light metallic grey', I think this is a wonderful shade for popping in the middle of the lid to brighten the eye. Dagger is described as 'medium charcoal micro-shimmer', it looks quite blue in the pan but once on the skin it looks so pretty and suits dark eyes. Black Market is described as 'jet-black satin' which is great to use as an eyeliner, especially for me as I'm so bad with liquid liner. Smolder is described as 'deep plum-taupe', which I will love for a night time smoky eye as it looks so dramatic. Password is described as 'cool taupe matte' and therefore is great for using all over the lid. Whiskey is described as 'rich brown matte', I love putting this shade in my crease and outer V as it makes a good shade for an everyday smoky eye. Combust is described as 'soft pink-taupe', which is great for using as a base shade. Thirteen is described as 'light beige satin', I'd say it's a VERY light beige as it looks off-white. This shade is great for under eyebrows and in the inner corners.

All of the shadows feel so 'buttery' and smooth when you apply them and you don't even notice you're wearing the shimmers as they feel the same as the other shades. They all blend so easily, so you could easily use every single colour in the palette and still be able to achieve a perfectly blended smoky eye! I've been using the shadows on top of the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Greed and they have lasted for at least 8 hours without fading, possibly longer, even on my oily eyelids.
My favourite everyday combination with the palette is Radar all over the lid, then I pop Whiskey in the crease and the outer corner, before finishing off with High or Dirtysweet in the middle of the lid and the inner corners. I also like to highlight under my brow with Thirteen.
